They will probably be covering all 3 races (MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3) in the one show.

Great 4.5 hours to fast forward through, sure Tivo has. Jump to option...

Worse still I bet to jumps from Bt Sport 2 to BT Sport 1 meaning I need 2 series links.

Took till today for the tv listing to be published, other channels are about a week further on.

Buy it back BBC with the money you'll save from scrapping BBC3.

I think it's more the Sky TV guide than BT.

Sky lists it as one massive program, but the BT Sport website lists it as 3 programs and gives you the program times as well as race start times:

Moto3: 1500-1715 - Race start 1600
Moto2: 1715-1845 - Race start 1720
MotoGP: 1845-2030 - Race start 1900

Virgin, thanks though will check their site in future and record accordingly, but then I would worry about what happens if moto2/3 over ran.

I'm just going to wait until Mondays and watch the ITV highlight show.

The fact that it was announced so late after all the speculation that BT sports would have sole rights seems a bit sneaky to me. I wonder how much BT had to pay to keep the ITV highlights thing quiet until the start of the season.

The more the better! People moaned and groaned about the BBC "dumbing down" hopefully BT will do a good job.

Euro sport had 10 or 12 hours of coverage last season when BSB and WSBK dates over lapped. Like I say the more the better, saves having to watch some shite the mrs wants on!

Thumbs Up

It would appear that no matter what BT attempts to do with MotoGP someone, somewhere moans repeatedly. Rolling Eyes

I don't know if, despite what they said, BT knew, and just meant they had the exclusive rights for live coverage.

Nothing new with the length of the coverage, the BBC always ran the Moto 2 and moto3 races on the red button,
not really sure what the OP is moaning about, just dont watch the Moto2 and 3 races if your that bothered and switch on for the Moto Gp race.

Probably I mean they must have known that dorna was selling a highlights package. The way it was being advertised that BT have secured exclusive television rights of moto gp until 2018 makes it sound that basically if you want to watch moto gp on tv then you need BT sports.
Which now seem a little misleading as for lots pf people watching 5 hours of practice and qualifying isn't important, they just want to follow the season and catch the important bits of the race.
I'd feel a bit cheated if I'd signed up to pay £12 a month or whatever it is for the next year or two because I believed it was the only way I'd see the races.

It does show that the bbc weren't simply outbid for the coverage but that they had little interest in showing it, as they would have surely gone after the highlights package even if they couldn't get the live coverage like with F1.

Wicked. Except I don't have BT Sport. I couldn't think of anything better to do than watching all the races, except for out riding my own bike of course. Mr. Green

There's no way I'd have paid the £12 a month for BT Sports through Sky.

If only we could get the Infinity fibre broadband here, quicker internet and "free" BT Sports would have been a win, but not gonna be that way

Larry Carter re-tweeted a post from btsport. It advertised the 2014 preview show which can be viewed again "if you missed it" via the app or btsport.com

I had time to kill and thought it would wet the appetite. But I failed the initiative test. Like all BT websites, I just can't use them.

They pimped a show, but its not on the front page, or the motogp page. I clicked on the original viewing and its simply says "ended". Then did a search on btsport.com for "preview" in the last 24 hours....nothing.

I've got BTSport (automatically with broadband), but will probably end up watching the highlights on ITV instead Smile

Live programs are straightforward, but not the watch again type service.

Over here (IoM) we don't get any of these package deals that are on offer from sky and so we end up paying silly money for basic stuff and there's no way I'll be paying more than I already do, to watch Moto GP, as much as I'd like to see it.

Right so the "red button" viewing is part of the normal schedule now? I have no problem with the amount of racing showing, but why not make it 3 programs, or even just 2 moto2/3 and motoGP.

I have no interest in the rest I only want to record MotoGP

Now should there be something else on the TV at the same time I've lost a receiver from which I can record, for 5+ hours for what should be 90mins of coverage iirc from when it was on the BBC.
