Did you ride there?

Always worried about getting home from a track day post crash.

Me and bike got a lift home so it was fine.

Positives:
- The engine is fine, running and unscratched!
- No scratch to the helmet!
- No damage to brake calipers and braided hoses recently fitted

There are quite a few bits and bobs I can sell later.

If you're going to do something, you might as well do it properly. Mr. Green

Haha.. there was a whole GSXR in that wheelie bin actually Laughing

The Mountain is where the crash happened. And I had lots of spectators so I hope there will be some youtube video soon Wink

I had so much grin on my face every time I was riding there, with wheelie and wobbly landings every time.. eventually it went very wrong, just happend quicker than I could think properly Laughing

Cadwell certainly demands respect. I came off there as well, just after the mountain but was just a low slide, so not much damage to the bike. Ruined the day though.

Least you have an excuse to get a new bike now!

Glad you are OK Thumbs Up

This is why I cannot understand people using their road bikes as track day mounts.

I was at Rockingham when someone stuffed a brand new CBR1000 into the wall where the track comes back onto the banked circuit. Brick Wall

Get a cheap bike, rag it stupid on tracks. Don't use your pride and joy.

Crashing on track is generally safer than crashing on the roads.

If you get faster in small increments then you're not going to stuff your brand new bike into a wall! If you go all out immediately then it's unlikely to end well.

Gutted for you mJZ, sounds like in your own mind you were getting a bit over confident? Neutral

I've really enjoyed your trackday posts and spannering updates, so please keep up updated buddy even if your heart isn't in it right now.

I'll keep an eye out on TDR for the new beast (hopefully you'll get sorted soon ready for the summer)

All the best Thumbs Up

It'd be a ringing kit, a stolen one could assume the identity of yours, so selling it depends on your morals - personally I wouldn't Karma

Looks like eBay will remove such items too if reported - see Pistonheads thread here https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=1049731&mid=31739&i=0&nmt=Ringing+kits+for+sale+on+ebay%2E%2E%2ENo+not+on+our+watch%21&mid=31739

According to Google that ringing kit was a V5, VIN plate and a reg plate... that's pretty different to a frame with a V5! Laughing

Plenty of uses for it other than ringing. Sell it or scrap it, your choice.
