Hi all,
Basically a few friends and I are going away for 7-10 days and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what luggage I can use, I have a KTM Duke 125, and currently have a Moto-Detail City 2 tankbag. I was looking for either some soft panniers or a tail bag (or both) that could be strapped down to the duke.... as for price, either end doesn't really matter to me providing said item(s) work! Also if anyone could give any tips on securing the bags as the duke only really has to two grab rails to do so.... Much appreciated!! |

My mate has a TZR 50 and a Mito 125.
He just uses some Oxford Throw-over panniers. Not sure on the model, he got them for £30 at the bike show at the NEC in November or whenever it was.
They seem all-right. No complaints so far, but he doesn't use them a lot, the first proper test will be in the summer when we are going to go a-splorin.
I'm going to hunt something similar down for mine as well. WIth enough imagination, anything will work. I used push-bike panniers and about 5 bungee chords when Mum sent me shopping on my bike once, god knows why. ____________________ Current:1991 Honda MT50 (Soon to be a H100/MTX/MT5 hybrid), 1976 Honda Cub C70, 2005 Honda Varadero 125, 1993 Yamaha TTR250 Open Enduro , 2010 Road Legal Stomp YX140, 1994 Honda CRM 250 MK III, 1999 Cagiva Mito 125, 1992 Honda CB400 Super Four, Stomp T4 230, 1984 Honda H100s, 2009 Sym XS125K

Your friends panniers sound like the Oxford first time panniers available from £40 (ish)-£65
I've a set for my 125.
The first time range is directed at 125cc sized bikes. They are a little shorter than standard panniers so they won't overhang your indicators.
The panniers can expand to a capacity of 48 litres. From memory they are 32 litres non expanded.
Here's a pic of my full set up including a tent....

EDIT LINE....Incase anyone is wondering. That's a buffalo getaway tail bag, RRP £40 again from memory about 25-30 litre capacity. I was lucky enough to pick it up half price. ____________________ No matter how fast light travels, darkness was always their first. |
