I have a shoulder injury that has been giving me grief for two years. It responded well to acupuncture but has started to flair up again. When it gets really bad I will ask the Dr for cortisone injections, they hurt like hell ____________________ Bikers make great organ donors, get 115 on your licence today. |

I had a rotator cuff injury, entirely down to work. Trying to untwist a uterine torsion in a big dairy cow.
Utter pain in the arse, couldn't lift my right arm above 45 degrees forwards. Couldn't even pick up a pint of beer using that hand and bring it to my mouth. If I wanted my hand above the level of my ribs, I had to take it round backwards.
Manned the fuck up. Carried on with work as normal. Used my left arm more or just rotated the right one backwards up to the level I wanted it until it got better. Took about three months to get useable properly. Took about two years to get rid of the major tension below my shoulder blade. Doing a very physical job but didn't take it out on my employer becuse I am totally responsible for how I move and place my body under load and in this instance, I fucked-up. You do a heavy job, injuries are inevitable.
Now do tai-chi. Unlikely to get that injury agin because I'm paying proper attention to what my body is doing. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |

Interesting about the cortisol injections. My old fella has got similar shoulder problems. I expect he's been offered those, but I might have a little nag about it (when I think I can get away with it )
