What is the bike Uma Thurman rides and the black bikes the Yakuza's are riding?

How fu**ing cool are the samuri swords fixed to the side of the bikes, nice touch.

The bride rides a kawasaki ZZR
As she is in japan i guess it would be the 400 plotwise but more likely the 250 during the filming as it would rev higher and sound like its going faser (120mph isnt exactly favourable for filming)

The crazy 88 are i believe on fazer 1000's

And they do look cool. But what is more cool is the whole matching thing. Black lid, visor, suit, shoes, bike. And then the sword.

And the bride with her yellow suit and yellow lid.

Haven't seen it.

But the ZZR250 has the GPZ250 engine, so would probably rev lower than the 400, which has an inline 4.

Saying that, although the bride looked really cool in her yellow leathers I couldn't help but think...

"Those leathers look as about as protective as a bin liner"

No no no!

The fazer thou did not have those rubbish square headlights of the early 600 fazer.

The crazy 88 are on 600 fazers! Uma thurman rides a ZZ-R 250 because she can't ride a bigger bike. She struggles to stay on the thing even when its a blatant trailer shot!

I would imagine that for the story she is on "Generic big sportsbike" but being that insurance is so high and the ZZR-250 can be made to look biger by cunning camera work, they didn't bother.

When oh when will hollywood get bikes right in movies? The best bike bit I have seen in a recent film is probably in the worst film ever, Speed 2: Cruise control.

When will they learn? Smile

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Do you mean "best bike bit" as in "most laughable"? 'Cos if so, you obviously haven't seen Torque... Rolling Eyes

In case you missed it the yellow suit is an homage to Bruce Lee's final movie.

Most laughable is Mission Impossible 2 - bikes change from road tyres to off-road mid stunt Shocked It's hollywood - no-one will notice! Very Happy

She was on a ZZR250 due to licencing constrictions. It was the biggest she could legally ride.

Well, in Torque, the bikes themselves change from crotch-rockets to motocross-bikes-with-fairings. So there. Razz

And as for the point somewhere above regarding the sound produced by the bikes - I honestly doubt that they used the original recordings from the shoot. Has anyone watched the "new" Italian Job? The beemers (complete with sticky-out engine) sound like inline-fours.

May be going off-topic here (apologies) but most movies and especially TV dub the sound afterwards (Foley editing).
You notice it more on American shows, where you'll see an in-line four with the dubbed sound of a Harley (hey, it's America, all bikes should sound like a Harley Laughing )
