Hello there, im purchasing my cpi sm 50 on Friday and to anyone else who owns a 50cc supermoto, do you get pulled over by the police often? I was wondering because it'd be a hassle to be pulled over by police repeatedly having to prove that the bike is indeed a 50 and classed as a moped![/list]

Just keep it under 70mph with both wheels on the road and you'll be fine.

Anyone with an ounce of sense will be able to see that it's a 50cc as soon as they look at the tiny piece of metal that is the engine.

And if they're in doubt, they can run a couple of pieces of material through it and see if it stitches them together.

Plod follows you for 500 metres at more than 31mph - you're nicked.

Potentially...
(In layman's terms)
No licence
No insurance
Driving an unroadworthy vehicle
Failure to tell dvla that you've converted the moped into a motorcycle.

Impact..

Hundreds of pounds in fines.
Bike confiscated and crushed.
An extra zero on the end of your insurance premiums for the next five years.

Wait till you're seventeen and buy a 125, twice as fast as a ped and four times as powerful.

This thread just doesn't match your sig Laughing Razz

jokes aside, as other people have said they will see just by looking at the engine it is a 50cc and also hearing the strain of the engine not to mention the million gear changes just to get to a normal speed!

as others have said, forget about the bore upgrade and get a 125cc when you are 17 Smile
