suzuki gn125 exhaust made to fit gn250

hi folks,,, does any body know if a gn 125 exhaust was altered to take an additional pipe in the mid section would it still fit the 250 bike? basically making the exhaust a 2 into 1 pipe and just sticking it on? also i phoned around to get a new clutch fitted and cam chain into my bike gn250 and they wanted more than the bike, they wanted over 350 quid. £50 an hour labour. i like the idea of doing all this on my own and learning but i got a feeling its to much to chew for a complete novice. Does anybody know of a good bike mechanic around stone,stafford area of the country?
