30th April, permanently closing down, that'll well and truly bugger up parking in the City of London.

Want some more bad news, they are looking at putting new average speed cameras on the A13, ones that can pick up bikes though.

Don't live in London but if you're going to make parking on the pavement illegal then don't take away bike spaces. Whoever decided this is a proper, ocean going cuntlord.

Boris didn't make pavement parking illegal, that was done years before he came along.

He did open up the bus lanes to bikes though so he's alright in my book Thumbs Up

I have no idea who made what rules, but the only time I have heard the phrase "ocean going cuntlord" was to describe Boris.

True, but you don't need a parking place if you've been squished like a used-up toothpaste trying to filter down the outside of standing traffic.

So, let me get the right. The City encourage motorcycling because it reduces congestion, and emissions (lol) yet they take away a large proportion of parking for them?

That must have been in the recent deal with the tube lot. "Alright, we can't afford to pay you any more than 50k a year to sit on your arse and press go and stop BUT we can demolish carparking for bikers thus creating more commuters?"

DEAL

That would be a pain. Where did you hear this? Any links to sources?

Parking study found that it was significantly used by motorcyclists, but then classed as under utilised. Alternatives are to now pay £4 a day or fight for on street and similar spaces in other CoL carparks.

I heard it from the our cycling officer who had just come from a meeting with TFL and the old bill about other stuff.

I never have trouble parking in the City. Arrive at 6am. Leave at 8pm. Sorted.

The sooner we give up any hope of life beyond servitude, the happier we'll be.
