Magazine subscriptions for classic bike projects

I've been asked to recommend a bike mag subscription to a work colleague so she can buy it for her hubbies birthday.

I have already suggested that a mag won't cover specifically "restoring old bikes" and that joining a forum would be the better choice. However joining a forum doesn't make a nice present.

So can anyone recommend a subscription to a mag that will cover restoring old bikes, if you want to be specific I'm told it's a Triumph Bonneville he is interested it.

Practical Sportsbike might be a good shout if his idea of classic is an FZR750.

I subscribe to Practical Sportsbikes Mag. It covers 70's, 80's and 90's bikes with lots of restoration and buying tips. Suits me down to the ground with all my bikes being 80's or 90's sports bikes. It's sort of like Classic Mag but for the next generation on.

They have a very popular Facebook group too if you want to get a feel of it.

Classic Motorcycle Mechanics is the best of that genre without a doubt. Especially if he likes a good spectrum of bikes from the 1960s to the late 1990s.

He may appreciate a big box of older bike mags too, you can sometimes pick them up for next to nowt on The Big Bad Bay. She'll have to put up shelves in the Throne Room for him tho.
