So picked myself up a Lucky MX 140cc today.
seems to be of reasonably good quality! adjustable forks and rear shock, engine pulls hard, and everything is standard.
very very clean for a 2012 bike.

Here it is : https://i1375.photobucket.com/albums/ag457/matthewthomaswadling/FirstNight_zps9e1d00c1.jpg

So ive got a few questions!

Is this right, 750ml of 10w40, fully synthetic oil.

Is there an oil filter on these?

What plug, is it worth putting Iridium plug in it.

Should i loctite every nut and bolt or would i be wasting my time?

(previous 125cc i had for a week shook itself apart)

Any pitbike experts/owners know anything i should know as im planning on keeping this one as a toy!

Thanks!

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

The engine looks to be the same as my monkey.

750 ml is right, there is a gauze filter just above the sump plug, you have to split the cases to get it out, take off kick start etc and about 12 8mm bolt, split cases, pull out flat filter, clean and refit.

Not sure what plug, just have a look on ebay for yx140 plugs, i wouldn't bother with iridium on one of these.

I've not had any issues with stuff falling off but loctite can't do any harm.

Okay cool thanks! yeah its the YX140 engine it says on the Barrel YX and 140cc. oh the YX engines have a gauze too? i knew the china pitbike/monkeys had gauze filters behind clutch casing, not worth doing every oil change is it?

And is this a CRF70 or TTR style, i know its not a CRF50, anyone know?

i only took mine out to clean it as 500 miles on the NEW engine, the head gasket self destructed and bits of it ended up in the oil so i took it apart to clean it all out.
