Here's my problem.
My leather trousers tend to ride up to the top of my boots when I'm on the bike, sometimes even creating a gap so I'm wondering if anyone can recommend some taller boots to remedy this.

My boots measure 12" tall.

My textiles do this too! See my post for a starting point:

Being the noob, I compared my problem to other people riding, and most riders' trousers tend to be higher than I'd like. Is this a common problem?

Do you tuck your leathers into your boots or over the top?

I tuck my leathers in but my textiles go on the outside.
The textiles don't present a problem.
I couldn't have the leathers outside, too tight.

You may be right.
Alternatively, I may have to find my nearest leather alteration establishment. Thinking

I' waiit to be corrected here - But I don't think it has much to do with boots. All my textile trousers fit terribly/ride up. This is one of the main reasons I prefer my one piece leathers - Tucked inside my boots they don't shift an inch and the leg armour sits and stays in place [tested one so far Razz].

I do use my textiles a fair bit, but even after finding a 'well fitting pair' as a skinny person - which took long enough, I don't have that much faith in them staying in place and protecting my kneecaps to be honest.

Your boots appear to be fairly tall and on par with most 'track boots' already from the measurement you gave. If they're riding up half the boot; I get that all the time in textiles. If they're coming over the top of the boot you must have some really tight-ass spandex trousers I expect Shocked

but my textile gear never rides up, i don't tuck them in to my boots,

Longer trousers is the answer...unless you want to wear knee high boots.
