Nah I'm going to get that looked at. Carbs are now balanced, but it has a micron exhaust - I was replacing the filter at the time which is why I noticed. Filter did nothing for flat spot. The exhaust is a slip on exhaust but the link pipe and down pipe have spring attachments? Seems like I have a mix of different exhausts or something. The standard end-can is bolt on, I believe?

It's also pretty dead below 4,000 but I'm told that's due to "cam overlap"?

Oh and it fell over on the driveway and put scratches in the belly pan. So annoyed. £170 for a respray.

My old 9r was pretty gutsy from just about anywhere and ran fine on standard jetting with a cut down carbon micron. That was with standard link pipe though.

I did shim the needles at one point though.

Bought a Dynojet kit for it the other day, might get them to set it up, got a K&N coming for it tomorrow hopefully.

There will be a dyno run before and one after.

I bet all the bike/car mechanics in Southern England must be rubbing their hands together with glee with that polluted air with fine dust/sand particles clogging up carbs & filters needing repairs or filter change! lol

I'm from Yorkshire! Close to North Yorkshire too. I'd hate to see what all your southern bikes' filters are like!

Two materials bonded together, one is yellow one is white. Feels like foam.

My Micron system has springs holding the downpipes to the link pipe.
It was BNIB when i bought it.

You may find a baffle in the link pipe, I have pulled the wadding out of mine.

That's really useful actually, I'll take a look at my downpipes and see if they are the same. Ta.
