Hi hello all.
New to this form. feel like this is the right place for me.
two years of ride ,this year want to push a bit more,
with my Honda CFB 600F. Plan to goto Gibraltar from Reading,in 10 days.
Round trip.
Could you please give some advice or if some one want to come together.

please advice on:

base camp good for easter weather in France and Spain?

I am thinking to get a garmin zumo 350, good than tomtom rider?

what tools or every thing I need to take

I got leather gear and Dxon gear, I guess Dxon should be more fit the trip.

I have not got a heated bar on my CBF 600, am I must have one?

how to plan the trip, stop over on each main city or ??

am I need to take a jerry can for petrol ( In case )??

guess I need a full service for my CBF600, to make sure, but is there any thing need to take care of .

will do some home work , please give your advice or experience .

LOL
Crazy guy do the Crazy things.
hope I can make this.
April 11-20

Thanks Thumbs Up
Jason

10 days, go along northern france, avoid toll roads, then across spain via salamanca, Madrid if you want to visit it but if you just want to get to Gib, avoid it, it's a nightmare.

I've done albufiera in Portugal to Caen in France in 36hrs and i spent 6hrs in a hotel, 5 days will give you plenty of time.

If you are going to try and do it. a good pice of advice is to get as many mile's as you can in on the first day. Three day's will get you there, So you are looking at two over night stop's. One in France the second is Spain. The third day you should be looking at making it to Gib. It's a nice run down if the weather is with you.

Barcelona is worth spending some time on it, it is an awesome city. Cartagena is not worthy, only thing there is a big naval base. I would stop in Valencia a much nicer city. Granada is another beautiful city and worth doing a bit of sightseeing, if you plan on visiting Alhambra check as sometimes you need to book in advance. Seville is a very fine city. Madrid and Bilbao are worth as well. You will be riding mostly in "autovias" free highways, so I presume you will be fine with that. Be aware that in Cataluña (Barcelona) most of highways do charge a toll.

Expect long queue into and out of Gib. Ok once there, but 'tis really just a day trip IMO, maybe one overnight.
