ZX9 fell over a couple of days... rage ensued. Bike was pretty spotless.

Now it has a few scrapes on one of the belly pan sides. What should I expect to pay for a respray?

You'd be better off finding a mint one on ebay. That would be the cheapest option.

You could pay anything for a spray job depending on quality but I'd imagine a decent sort of job would be 120-150 quid, trying to think isn't there a zx9r decal on the lower fairing? If that's the case, you'd have to fork out for the decal on top. Not going to be cheap.

Shame you're in Leeds. We cut decals here (if we can find something on the net to print off) and fit them as part of the job.
We'd fill, fair, prime, paint (& fit decals) and lacquer it for less than £100 - as long as the paint is OEM colours and not some fancy bling job.

Interesting...where about are you?

I'm restoring my VF400 and I quite like the idea of bringing the paint job up to date - i.e. the same basic design/decals, but replace the 80's red with a newer looking candy apple type red, if you know what I mean. So not VF400 OEM, but very possible an OEM colour from a newer bike. Is that the kind of thing you can do?

Also, can you replace lugs and suchlike if the basic external surface is there and more or less intact?

Yup, right up our alley.
Panel lugs are a pain in the butt, but we can do them - all panel repairs done with fibreglass.
We're in Torbay, South Devon.
Check out the number on the website (Which I'm going to assume you've looked at, some of the pics on there aren't clear that they've been taken before a final polish!).
You need to speak to Darryn as he's the painter, I'm just a hanger on! Wink
