Commuting in London

I will be commuting from north London to Mayfair every day starting Monday. I trialled my route just now and it took me 30 minutes pretty much exactly in light to medium-light Saturday evening traffic.

How much time on top of this should I give myself on weekday mornings to make it to work on time?

Wearing a suit/smart clothes under motorcycle gear, or somehow folding it up into a rucksack - anyone else do anything similar? Apparently it's rude to turn up on the first day of work and get changed in the office.

Any other tips, advice or discussion to have on the subject of commuting by motorbike in London?

I'm strongly considering buying an action camera in case of accidents. On this test run I taped my phone to my rucksack strap and filmed the trip but that isn't very practical. I know we have these threads all the time but cheap suggestions/reminders would be welcome.
