I'm 25 and I passed my CBT a month ago. I decided to get a YBR125 off ebay. It turned out to be in very bad condition and I didn't feel safe riding it.

Now i'm looking at getting a new honda cbr125r on 0% finance over 3 years. I think it could be a good/fun bike to learn on but i would want to trade it back in after a year/18 months for something faster. Do you think this would be a good option or should i just do DAS and buy something faster right away?

DAS all the way baby because:

#1 The test is only going to get harder and more expensive.

#2 125CCs have a learner premium because learners want them.

#3 £2000 for a typical new OTR 125cc bike will buy an early 00 100bhp missile. £1000 will buy a mid 90s 80bhp missile.

Do your DAS and get something faster straight away. The bike is only as fast as you want it to be Wink

If you look at used bikes you get a lot more for your money on anything above 250cc compared to sub 250cc. The 125 market is always seems strong in the UK.

25, as above, do DAS.

I wouldn't buy a new 125. At all. No point, its slow and loses money like mad. I'd probably give a used 250 a go if its a new step for you are just go out and buy a nice 600 and get used to that.

DAS all the way Thumbs Up

Do you think i dont need to get another 125cc at all then? Just have a few lessons and do the DAS? I can't really afford to buy another bike and do the DAS.
