Hey all, read the little crib sheet for getting your knee down by yamsr6
https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=25050

seems to be be very helpful indeed,

I can understand the basics i wreckon, but i was wondering if there is any increased risk on doing it on a taller bike with thinner tyres than ure r6/gixxer/zxr etc. i look at my sv650s and think that maybe its more dangerous for this reason?

am i a complete fool?

i live on the A3 pretty much around hindhead, anyone know of any descent roundabouts that are good to practice on? am happy to travel to say portsmouth or guildford really Smile Shocked

What are you on about? The SV650 isn't tall!! Smile

There is no reason that an SV650S can't be leant far enough to GYKD, you just need good tyres and confidence! Also, it has a riding position and seat height suited to it. Its also a good wheelie bike too, but you need to use a bit of clutch. Smile

Oh and as for that... I suggest you have patience young padawan! I think that isn't the best way to get answers from people.

Some forums have a lot of members from the US and so often don't get many replies to posts until they have got in from work or got up or whatever they do in their timezones. Please have patience!! Thumbs Up

nope. Thinner means quicker steering, but outright grip (believe it or not) won't be any less! HTH Thumbs Up
