Get yourself to a proper hare and houds, or at least Enduroland 'practice' day to see what tired really means .
I did a 6 hour team event solo once, though probably only rode 3/4 of the time - certainly felt it the day after!
Maybe need to up the long distance walking to a bit faster pace - hopefully the weights should help too.
If you've still got a rower (remember you were getting rid of one, but don't recall if you had another), I found that seemed to help.
Oh and maybe you shouldn't have got such a heavy bike? |

I've never really found it that tiring however my riding partner(s) are always shattered. I think it's just because my bikes a tad lighter and I'm stronger. They are certainly more skilled then me riding wise. So saying that on the not so technical stuff where were all falling off every few minutes, I'm the most tired.. just because it's only me falling off
So if you think it's the lifting the bike that's tiring you out then either get a lighter bike or if you can be fucked train for a higher workload on deadlifts. I'd probably try better ventilated gear and a lighter bike first though.
MX riding for me was the worst. The constant clutch grabbing (wide geared 2 stroke.. Small, tight track.. Throttle blip to lube engine) meant after 6 or so laps I was just hanging on tight and pinning the throttle.. Didn't end well! |

The hardest riding I've ever done was a pit bike round an MX track. Arm pump in no time, it must be something to do with the geometry and short suspension combined with my height.
Green laning, not so much. I used to but as I got used to the bike, I could go all day. But then, I never race when I go. Just pootle really.
Having said that, I haven't ventured off-tarmac in a while, it's a waste of knobblies, although I don't pay for them, rummage through the local bike shops tyre bin, for some reason TRF members seem to throw their tyres away as soon as the little injection bits wear off, I'm not complaining, free/cheap tyres, which is why I end up trying so many different types.
If I went green laning now, I would probably get a bit tired, not used to it. Usually my shoulders that go first, because I'm crouched more due to the low-ish bars.
Like G says, an enduroland thing will knacker you out. It got me. Picking the bike up two or three times every lap, bouncing across rocks, it's no good if you're unfit. ____________________ Current:1991 Honda MT50 (Soon to be a H100/MTX/MT5 hybrid), 1976 Honda Cub C70, 2005 Honda Varadero 125, 1993 Yamaha TTR250 Open Enduro , 2010 Road Legal Stomp YX140, 1994 Honda CRM 250 MK III, 1999 Cagiva Mito 125, 1992 Honda CB400 Super Four, Stomp T4 230, 1984 Honda H100s, 2009 Sym XS125K
