Just picked up a reasonable Alpinestars leather jacket off ebay. However the seller is obviously a bit of a dirty sod, it's covered in flies and specks of dirt, which fair enough should all just wipe off. But it totally sticks of fags, not just a faint whiff, but enough to make our house stink on opening the parcel. Yuck! Nice of the seller to omit this from his ebay listing...

Anyhow, any tips/tricks on giving the jacket a damned good clean and removing the stink?

hi,
saddle soap should clean it up good (takes a wee bit of effort though but well worth doing) & get rid of most of the smell then a polish with a decent leather polish/food & it will be nice & clean & smell like leather should smell, lol
whats the lining like? might need to give it a hand wash to clean it up, bit of a pita, but worth doing.
cheers,
GAZ
