Can anyone recommend a decent motorcycle boot with a fairly thick sole?

I'm too short for my GSXR 750 and one of the ways I plan on making this less of an issue is to find a decent boot with a thicker sole than my current Sidi's.

I also plan on trimming the seat but there's not much to play with on an SRAD.

I really want to avoid lowering it.

If you're really short then Daytona make a boot with a built up heel that is invisible inside the boot. They are called Daytona M stars. If you're a girl they call them Daytona Ladystars for some reason. They are quite expensive but very good.

Just remember width makes a lot of difference to how straight your legs sit.

How about just getting a cobbler to add a thicker sole. Thumbs Up

Anything by Altberg. They are huge. Go for a fitting and see if you can get an off the shelf boot on with a Schwarz or superfeet insert inside it. Mine have superfeet and a volume reducing insert because my feet are like flippers, they add about 2" to my height.

I've got the Clubman Classic, and they're a really tough boot, very waterproof and never sweaty, will fit under textiles and over leathers as closure is pure velcro. Look positively archaic though. Newer designs are zip+velcro and at least look like the designers have seen a modern boot.

Note you will have to move the gear shifter up significantly to get your toe in and the amount of feel you get will be significantly reduced. Mine arrived about a week before I picked up my current ride, sent them away for minor alteration a year later and rode in Bullson Maddox boots again and it not only felt like wearing slippers, but the wooden back brake and clumsy gearshift suddenly went away Confused

I had the M Star boots, expensive but I found I didn't really need them - they were too cumbersome for me.

I bought something like this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honeycomb-Gel-Heel-Lifts-Height-Increase-Insoles-Shoe-Inserts-Pads-Raise-/201052511632?pt=UK_Men_s_Shoes&var=&hash=item2ecfa9dd90

and just put them in my Frank Thomas Boots, better in my opinion. And a shit load cheaper.
