That doesn't happen everyday

So I had my last mod 2 lesson today, instructor seems to think I'll pass but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Anyway we were riding down a road and she tells me to pull over where safe so I do so. We get off bikes and a minute or less later some guy walks up and is like "Looks like you've pulled up just at the right time" hands us both a copy of a bikers bible and walks off.

Anything random happen to anyone else on their rides?

Yeah I was watching this idiot on a bike today. The instructor told him to pull over because he was making a hash of things. I walked up to him and told him he pulled over just at the right time and handed him a book. "Learning to Ride!" The DSA bikers bible.

He seemed bemused but thanked me and went on his merry way.

On one of my lessons we pulled over for a smoke and a woman came up and asked us if we could stand a litter bin up that vandals had kicked over! Of course we did our Samaritan bit before riding off into the sunset.

A day or two after I picked up my current bike, I took it for a 20-mile ride from my home to my office in central London, just to get used to the bike on the commute. It was a Saturday and the area (Finsbury Square, near Moorgate and Liverpool Street) was deserted, except for one very confused and distressed-looking tourist. I pulled up next to him and asked if I could help. He was looking for a certain pub (a really obscure hole-in-the-wall that I happened to be familiar with). I gave him directions and he thanked me profusely, saying he had been wandering around for an hour trying to find it. I then pulled away and went home.

It was like a meeting with destiny. Maybe the love of his life was waiting at the pub, or someone who will lead him to cure cancer. Or maybe he just got drunk and then robbed...
