Wuxtry!

Onwards and upwards. 18% up on last April, smashing. Just about every style is up except, curiously, adventure sports which had a 7.4% drop. Bubble finally bursting? There was a tiny drop in peds and 126-650cc, good news everywhere else.

No surprises in the best sellers list, with a warm hello to the MT-07.

Oh, except one: the R1200GS is still, of course, the best selling adventure sport, but it was matched (exactly) by sales of the R1200RT. Could it be that people who want to tour on a big boxer Beemer have realised that they can... buy a tourer? Thinking

Top marques are the usual story, with Triumph doing particularly well, and plucky little underdog Suzuki managing to put in a creditable 7th.

Good to see the best selling "Supersport" bike is the YZF R-125 Rolling Eyes

It often is.

More surprising is a 278cc scooter outselling all 600cc I4 models (individually, not in aggregate, naturally).

It's interesting how few 125-650's get sold.

I think they should change the A1 laws to increase sales in 250-300's. The A2 then covers the 300-600 range and A anything.

Or just put it to age, -19 A1, 19-21 A2, 21+A...

"They" in this case are Brussels, and They have a raging hard on for always making things more complicated and expensive, never less.
