God I am bored shitless. Sad

Its my day off today(not that I'm a work junkie) the weather is crap, got no cash and my bike won't be here till next week. Sad Not that I could ride it anyway).

Not realy into housework although have put the washing in the washer, set the dail and switched on the dish washer on and i'll whip round with the hoover 10 mins before the other half gets back.

So my question is - What do you do on your day off Question .

When I have a day off I basically make sure that I'm not anywhere near a computer!

I know it's hard to get away from BCF, but there's a world out there, go and find it! Very Happy

Generally when I was working, I only booked days off if I had something I wanted to be doing with it, as otherwise I might as well save them up and then use them later for something more interesting than being sat at home bored.

The Rigger is in Newcastle, next door to DH Auto's, the leathers shop.

I'm in sunny Tunstall. PS - Read your PM's. Very Happy

Buy Alan Partridge 2 and 3 on DVD. Ohhh. Hours of fun. And you don't have to be around people.

Went to Thorpe Park with a girl from work yesterday. We were queing for Collosus (the rollercoaster) and I was looking up at it thinking "it can't be more scary than my bike". Holy sh1t! Shocked . Was I wrong. What a ride!

Days off rock! Laughing

I'm on one now, which is a rarity. I'm doing housework, and preparing myself for being a bridesmaid tomorrow (I am wearing false nails for the first time in my life and it's very weird to type!).

Normally I book days off when I have something to do, although I have had a couple of "doing nothing" days this year and really enjoyed them.

you think 1 day is bad...try 2 months!!!

Though today I went on a pleasant ride on the blackdown hills through the county lanes, but I find it hard to stay off the internet.

You think 2 months is bad, the last day I went to work was April 2nd (and have been being paid for the time off Smile ) but it does get a bit boring and I'd be back at work if I was able to. Neutral

Pfft. Is that all? Very Happy I've been off work since Feb 29th with a broken leg, on more then normal pay.

Your right though. It does get boring. I even cleaned out the garage today, and i'm spending hours fiddling with photoshop even though i'm rubbish.

I don't know about all you but the time between me finishing college and getting a job was 6 months. It was the greatest thing ever! Gave me plenty of time to do lots of little projects I had on the go. I really need to start up more of them. Each night after work now normally consists of eating my dinner then sitting at my pc doing nothng because I'm too tired to be bothered doing anything.

I'd be quite fine normally with having a paid holiday of this length, but I'm some what restricted in what I'm able to do which adds to the boredom as I am not able to do any of the stuff I enjoy really. Yeah BCF is fun, but everything has it's limits and with the weather like it is at the moment I reckon I'd be out on my bike or doing something rather than just sitting around doing not much.

If I won the lottery I'm sure I'd be able to put the money to good use, but again at the moment I would be some what restricted in what I was able to do. Yup I could buy shinney nice bikes, but other than look at them I couldn't do much else. Normally spending money would be quite easy I'm sure, as it would for pretty much everyone I reckon. Mr. Green Thumbs Up

After University I worked in a tudor mansion in Suffolk for a couple of months, then came home for my graduation. The day after my graduation, reality hit! I spent 2 months of job hunting and feeling useless. It sucked! I could not have managed with 6 months of that.

Ok, so doing nothing once in a while is good...but ALL the time?? Where's the fun in that? That's what weekends are for!

I know how you feel Ste. I spent 3 months in cast with my leg, then another month before being able to walk. It is the most boring thing ever!
Luckily i'm now able to walk so can do simple things like tidy the garage out and keep the garden looking a bit neater then it was.

Hopefully back at work soon.

Well instead of doing nothing, I started building a website a few weeks ago, I need some ideas for it though. Smile
