So just reading the article on VD about the electric dirt bike by Yamaha.

I think it's a good idea, especially for people who ride them close to housing.

All the people that moan about people riding dirt bikes on local fields seem to mention the noise more than anything, so now there's going to be silent dirt bikes they'll have nothing to moan about right?

I think they'll just find something else as the majority of these people just want something to moan about IMHO

Anyone else think the same?

hi,
1st electric bikes i have liked the look of.
+ thats a major selling point. newbies dont want laughed at + those 2 bikes certainly look the part.

problem is, they're concepts, right? then the finished product will look nothing like those in the pics, shame.
hopefully by the time they are on sale, batteries are a lot better than they are now, meaning they will be able to travel more than a couple of miles before needing charged up.

i know most folks just laugh at leccy bikes, but i look forward to the day when we have bikes that are left charging up in the shed overnight, can be used on the morning commute + be able to sustain m/way speeds + need no more "re-fueling" for the commute home.

heres hoping, ae?

cheers,
GAZ
