So, how do I say that? is it more a spewing noise or belching noise? I want to impress the locals with my foreign language skills ....

Matt, you look like you're taking nothing! I've got the options of: Tankbag (bought for a fiver from HG special offer), soft panniers AND a topbox. I'm bringing my bedroom!

Matt, regarding the camp bed, that is the one. It's small enough to fit in a back pack, easily, but I won't have a chance to photo it til later. I think I might buy an elec pump, so anyone can use that too.

I'd say it's more of a spewing noise myself. Sick

The thing I've noticed when driving through Wales is it gives you a sense of how it must feel to have dyslexia. I think they do it to try and put the English off.

Folded as it was when I bought it, it's a big bigger than my ipad and about 4 times as thick. Whether or not I'll get it back to that size after is another question! (At 7 quid though...)

Cheers. Going to pop to the local one in a little bit and hope they're in stock. Like you said at 7 quid worst case it'll end up in a bin Laughing

Weekend forecast looks fine - its just tomorrow afternoon thats going to be wet when everyones arriving Rolling Eyes hopefully we can just hide in the barn Smile, if not the rains easing off later in the evening so it might be worth setting tents up then.

Yep weather seems to be OKish. Rain from about 1 on Friday.

France is going to be 28C apparently! Very Happy

I haven't packed anything yet so should probably do something tonight. Although I do have an hour or so tomorrow morning... Whistle

I'm considering just dumping my shit in a corner then going getting some booze and waiting for the rain to pass then build my bed time zone.

I was thinking to head out to a shop after we've arrived and stretched our legs a bit too, expect i'll be pretty hungry by then Razz

Theres a tesco-superstore 5 minutes down the road in Porthmadog which should have anything people need. Also got a petrol station there. Open from 6am-midnight Thumbs Up

Probably best to build the tent before drinking said booze though.

Then again, it could be quite interesting to watch. Very Happy

Could you PM me it if not for tomorrow just in case we hit any problems.

Pm'd. My old phone is totally dead. I got a replacement sim but am waiting for a phone.

If anyone else needs it, 07437405238. It's a temp number so I'm happy for it to be on here.

I'm packed, planning on wearing my waterproof "onesie" as it won't fit in my bag!

I'll leave at around 11:30 and hope there's a macdonalds at the services. On that note, I don't have camping stoves, tin plates and all that shit. Do the welsh have whetherspoons...?

Just got back home a couple of hours ago.

Took the scenic route back home.*

Had a great time riding around North Wales and meeting everyone. Thumbs Up

Some great roads and fantastic scenery around Snowdonia, so hopefully another trip down there (or up there, depending where you're from) will be arranged in the future. Very Happy

Karma to matt and everyone else for making it happen.

*travelled about 20 miles the wrong way down the A55 Embarassed

Got home about an hour ago after wandering all over the shop in Wales. Had a hell of a ding-dong with some cage on the way to Bala - it had 320Z on the back, metallic blue, don't know my cars so don't know what it was, but he was shifting!
Probably covered about 250 miles today, well knackered, but well happy Very Happy

Great to meet everyone, a good weekend despite some rain (pity about Fatjames' bike, very unlucky mate, at least you got a good ride through Wales first!).

Hope everyone got home ok, and hope to do it all again some time Thumbs Up

Pics to follow later.

Thats everyone accounted for and back home then, so I suppose that makes it a success Smile [apart from James bike anyway Sad].

Will get my photos posted up in a bit - have only been home an hour, absolutely exhausted and still need to pack for France Rolling Eyes The Drift videos are on the PC and saved but I probably won't get a chance to cut pic's from the footage until i'm back from Europe but i'll try get them up on here ASAP.

Thanks to everyone for coming and making it a great weekend Thumbs Up and especially to chickenstrip for his never-ending knowledge of welsh roads!

You'd think doing this once would be enough Laughing

I got back about half 6.

Mine and Matts detour through Wales seemed to be longer than we thought and the 251 mile journey turned into 8 hour 330mile slog. Laughing Was worth it for the roads again though.

Cheers to everyone for a top weekend. Looking forward to the next one. Thumbs Up

I've uploaded the photos to my Facebook so tomorrow, when on a pc I can get the images on here. What a weekend and Chicken strip might as well be Welsh with his knowledge!

We need that every weekend please.

Ok, BCF North Wales camping trip in full technicolo(u)r Smile

The camping barn was a good idea:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCF5491_zps79a28bc6.jpg

...or would have been if there hadn't been some huge prehistoric wild animal that came out at night - it was ginger, it rode a ZZR600, and it roared all night long! So much so, that a group of climbers sharing the barn elected to sleep outside on the second night Laughing

The Saturday ride included a visit to the Ponderosa and Horseshoe Pass - I think this was all of us; -Matt- and Aff obviously felt a cut above the rest and had specially nominated parking spaces away from the riff-raff Rolling Eyes :

This morning's ride started with a run up to the Nantgwynant viewpoint, in beautiful weather (always the way when you're headed home Rolling Eyes

And a few snaps I took after the others had departed, and I went exploring a bit on my own way home.
