Have any of you lot bought or played this on the PS2 yet?

Either it is insanely hard or I am totally shite. The challenges should be called impossibilities.

*Goes off to practice*

No, just a four player multi-tap that slows down quite badly apparently.

I'm finding the grass and gravel quite well Evil or Very Mad

I might rent it out, but I think Moto GP 2 on PC, wins for multiplayer abilities Wink

Multiplayer does give Moto2 the edge but my laptop is shite for games so I'll just have to be a loner in my living room!

Is it out on Xbox? I used to play the first MotoGP on Xbox Live and it was superb. I could host 16 player games with no probs Thumbs Up

I'm not sure if it's on Xbox yet.

Any tips for the previous versions of the game, I'm getting worse each time I play! My braking is shocking!

Are you keeping to the racing line? I find on Moto GP 2 that if you don't the game becomes very hard to handle. Smile

It's extremely helpful if you can use the front and rear brake separately Thumbs Up

I bought MotoGP 3 a few days ago. Have to agree that its fucking NAILS at first.

Separate front-rear braking is a must. Cornering is a delicate balance of acceleration, lean, and rear brake and it takes a lot of practice before you start to get it right. I've been playing a few days now on the Suzuka circuit.... haven't even finished a race yet. I got right up to lap 18/21 today, in 6th place on normal difficulty. The trouble is, if you crash a few times it forces you to retire.

I crashed a few times. Confused

I'm doing OK though. Lap times are down to around 2:12s which puts me around the middle of the grid in qualifying. Still room for improvement.

Powersliding round the corners is also pretty helpful, but can sometimes be hard to control Confused

Weird, that kind of a laptime at suzuka on motoGP 2 would land you firmly in last place 10 second off the pace :S Prehaps motoGP 3 is more realistic Embarassed

lock the rear on the way in, spin it up on the way out, tis the only way to corner. careful not to gun too deep into the corner before hand though! locked/spinning wheels + Grass = Stack

What I bloody hate about motoGP to is probably due to my bike set up, it's hard to lock the bloody rear. This means that instead of sliding into a corner, the bike stands up, goes straight on and ends up in a gravel trap.

Stoopid thing, it didn't used to do that Sad .

I have Moto GP 3 on the PS2. Its hard as buggery to start with. Gets a bit easier when you start to unlock some of the other bikes.

Try and play it on a more realistic setting if you aren't already. It lets you choose your breaking distances etc instead of it being automatic braking! However, you can slide the rear wheel out and high side!

Just practice lots, it does get easier, slowly!

I'm getting better at it now but the thing that pisses me off is the fact that if you even slightly touch the grass you come off, what a load of bull shit Evil or Very Mad

If you brake too late and you're heading for the green stuff, resign yourself to the fact that you're going off the track, and deal with it. Straighten up and slow down, and concentrate on getting back on the track.

you'll only fall off on grass if you're leaning over too far. The amount you can get away with depends on how fast you're going.

This is on 'normal' difficulty level. I haven't even attempted 'hard' level yet.

To be honest I find MotoGP3 on PS2 pretty easy, even on hard and simulation. I did play the first one a lot though Smile
