Well reccomended programs for your web browser and e-mails.. I've been using firefox for ages and think it's really good, tabbed browsing, password manager etc.
Just installed thunderbird now as I've lost my office CD so haven't been able to install outlook etc. and thunderbird is really good too.
Just thought I'd pass the info on if anyone wants to try it out.
Apparantly viruses etc aren't written for mozilla? or something similar so it's much more secure and safer etc from viruses!
You can download both from www.mozilla.org! ____________________ Current Toys: 06 Yamaha WR250F | Nissan 350Z GT | Tech 4 Homes

Been using them both for ages - highly recommended.
It's Firefox 0.9 by the way, not 9! ____________________ Yamaha TDM 850 |

agreed, firefox is a huuuuge improvement for browseing (for me at least)
anyone unaware and looking to avoid the usual mircrosoft fleaceing when getting office... https://www.openoffice.org go to downloads, 60mb or so, imo ***** all over office in most respects. you can save as pdf, its completely free and just as good as office, only thing to watch is saveing as microsoft files. ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

While on the topic - new security updates for Firefox and Thunderbird have just been released so anyone currently using remember to update at mozilla.org
Apparently a major hole in the code has been found - but unlike Microsoft software someone has actually bothered to fix this one. Ah, the beautiful world of open source software!!!

Woohoo!
Firefox seems to be immune to the problems I was having with Shittynet Exploder. .
Uninstalling IE's, a bit of a pain though, It's like a cockroach, you can't kill it!
I've deleted files only to have them reappear in the window before my eyes, I've renamed them and deleted them, only to see them appear again, and uninstalling the damn thing says that "uninstalling this version will downgrade you to your previous version" .
I want as little Microsoft on my computer as possible (Apart from MSN ). ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/nsrandy/96rs250/ My Bike!

I had Firefox and still would, it is a fantastic piece of software. i have one gripe though, you *have* to use Sun Java and personally I think Microsoft Virtual Machine wipes the floor from Sun's feet. I always found Sun Java to be sloppy. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it.
