I went to the Eifel area of Germany for along weekend, got back yesterday. It was my 3rd time in the Eifel, I never get bored with the area. No long report, just pictures this time. I went away for 4 days and stayed in Neuerburg at the Schloss Hotel. Weather was great until Tuesday where it rained for the entire 5 hour ride back to Calais. Hey ho. I went there to be on my own and chill out, which I did. It was a bit of 'me' time as 2014 has been a bit rough for me. The roads were awesome as usual and I also saw a few interesting things along the way. Here's the pictures I took for those who are interested:

Great pics, mate Thumbs Up

Never managed to get that far myself but I prefer touring solo as well - less stress and no debates about where to go etc.

What is the area with the big river and ferry/tour boats? I am down that way in a month. Well slightly south, Halsenbach, cochem then down to trier.

That's the River Mosul and Cochem. I followed the river from Trier and then signs for Cochem.

That's the petrol price in Luxembourg, just over the border. Prices in Germany are roughly the same as the UK. Saying that, I always seem spend less on fuel when over there. By the way the hotel is great, especially for the price.

It's great. I've done 3 euro trips and 2 TT's and it's comfortable enough for me. Other than replacing the usual stator/rec it's been 100% reliable.

The word Cochem on the side of the boat should have been the giveaway Laughing Quite looking forward to getting away now. Shame I am in the car but next year I am going back down on the bike. Think I may drive on vapours and fill up in Luxemburg now seeing those prices. I need to pop in anyway for the cheap tobacco.
