That is some weird shit. Looks like seaweed I cleaned my rusty old Cub tank with a litre & half of diesel & a handful of small nuts & bolts. Its a traditional recipe but it works pretty good. Chuck 'em in & shake. The more you shake, the cleaner it gets. Rinse out with clean diesel. Don't use petrol! Don't do it outside religious buildings or government departments in case they think you're an anarchist. ____________________ Bunny Lingus & The Flipside Faggots |

Intriguing, would that not dent and scratch up the tank internals even further then? :S |
Petrol tank is pretty thick tin, if rattling a few nuts and bolts inside is enough to dent it, then its fucked well beyond use before you begin.
Meanwhile, you only do this once.
Second time, you only use nuts and washers... and thread them on strong kite string, fishing twine or wire, in a loop like a necklace, securely tied at the ends... before you put them in the tank... and you KEEP HOLD of the end.....
That way you don't spend a week shaking the shit out of the fucking thing trying to get the last few nuts to 'hop' over the filler lip , or end up leaving them inside, annoying you like an aerosol under a bus seat, when you ride! ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!
