Well first let me introduce myself. I'm Karl and I'm from Bristol.... And tonight Matthew I'm going to be... Sorry - got distracted there for a minute!

So what's the back story... I used to ride a YBR on L plates 5 years ago and was preparing to sit my tests when my ex crashed her bike and made me sell mine as motorbikes are "dangerous". That is part of the reason she is an ex girlfriend - say no more! Haha.

Anyway the opportunity presented itself recently to get another motorbike (namely the birth of my first child meant that a motorbike had cheaper running costs and clearly made sense on a money saving front). At least that's the account I told my partner! I picked up a lovely Yamaha YZF 125 at the end of December did my CBT and started riding every day to get some experience up on two wheels.

I've been lurking on this forum since December reading people's accounts, stories and general experiences of the testing procedures in their attempt to get a full license. I then started to go through the DAS process myself and found myself glued to this forum. Everyone's insights have been very helpful and I don't think I could be where I am now without the unwitting help of everyone here. So thank you.

You have all been a great help to me.
So where am I in my lessons and learning now:
CBT: passed first time
Theory: passed first time
Mod 1: passed first time
Mod 2: taken today and passed first time!!

If I can make it through the process I have faith in the rest of you who are currently going through it.

I'm out and about on my GSX650 now so if anyone in Bristol fancies a ride then let me know. Thanks again and hello!

Congrats.

Sign up to the SW section, there are a few around Bristol. I come up every now and then to have a look around Fowlers.

Mission #1 - achieved. I ride past it all the time.... Although to be fair I've never actually been in there as of yet. That's a job for this week I guess!

Mission #2 - I'm scared. Should I be scared?! Haha.
