Hi forum goers! I'm fairly new to riding and have decided to start out with a moped and as I reach 21 in a few years actually get to getting my motorcycle licence.

Now as per the title I have stumbled upon quite an interesting problem, one that I think I know the cause of but could not be sure about. It has to do with the bike stalling when not applying any throttle. The odd thing about this though is that it only does so while in gear. It will idle perfectly fine in neutral but as soon as I get into first the bike dies down if I'm not applying any gas even when the clutch is fully engaged. Now why I think this is in fact a clutch problem is because even when the clutch lever is held completely down the bike will still move foward slightly when also applying throttle. As I see it I should be able to hold down the clutch and come to a complete stand still while in first. This is not possible now and it makes the bike impossible to ride as I can not stop when I have to. Either the bike will die (when not applying throttle) or it will keep moving slightly (when applying throttle). Odd thing is though, the bike works perfectly fine in all other cases (shifting is smooth and no further problems with the clutch.)

Needless to say I am at a complete loss at what I think could be a simple issue that could be fixed by some quick adjustments.

Adjust the clutch cable, its still biting causing some form of drag.
