Hi,
I have been riding since last August, had a YBR125 and have really enjoyed getting about. My plan was to get through the winter daily and get a bigger bike for the summer.

Passed my tests 3 weeks ago, went straight to Streetbike and bought a Yamaha MT-07, but have had to wait for delivery (7-8 weeks Crying or Very sad ). Have had a demo on one and absolutely loved. Roll on end of May. Very Happy Very Happy

That figures...the plural of 'to bike' is 'biking'. Laughing

Welcome to the forum, hope you have many years of biking pleasure to come.

Clanger, always happy to help a newcomer with their spelling. Thumbs Up

Spelling? Yes.
Grammar? No.
Biking (to bike) is a verb, not a plural. Wink

Welcome Weirdfish. I too have recently passed. I looked at the MT-07, but couldn't resist a Street Triple instead. It will be interesting to see what we both think after a summer of riding them.

Thanks for Setting me straight on my spelling and grammar Surprised .

I looked at the Street Triple, but couldn't justify the extra cost. I liked the bikes equally, It would be great to compare notes on the 2 bikes.

That is if my bike arrives, it feels like an eternity, I am tootling around on my 125 at the moment, and we all now there is nothing right about getting overtaken by a milk float. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Congrats on passing & getting an MT-07. Been lusting over them (and the MT-09) in dealers recently, although having just crashed my MT-03 don't think I'll be able to insure one for a while Sad

What's the gearbox like on the '07 (smooth?) Post some pics up when you get it.

I only had a couple of hours on the demo, but not being an experienced rider, I just loved every minute.
in my opinion, it is the perfect bike for a first ride, its comfortable and has all the power I feel I need at the moment.

It was very smooth and put me at ease as soon as I pulled off.

All in all it is a great bike.
