Instead of trying and it being declined and going on my record, do you think would I would be able get finance at over £80 a month for 2 years when I only earn £300 a month? I'm hoping to be earning a lot more p/m after a month or two but right now I'm on that. Of course the only way to know for sure is to try but I don't want it going against me on my record if it is declined.

Not really worth it unless you can offset the cost with a massive upfront payment i.e sell the er6 and use the cash as a deposit.

I really wouldn't have thought so but as finance is secured against the vehicle so there might be a very, very, very tiny chance that you'd be able to get finance. That's not to say it's a good idea!

What you're hoping to be earning in a month or two won't come into it, to get a loan or finance they'll be wanting to see previous bank statements as proof of your income.

You'd get shafted on interest rates so would be paying £80 a month for a ages.

The finance would be as well as selling your ER6?

You'd be better off waiting for your salary to rise in a couple of months and then going for it

£300 a month? You're having a laugh. Get a pushbike. From Freecycle.

I've not once been asked to state my salary when applying for finance. They will ONLY look at your credit report and go by that. I'm currently paying two bike loans and one car loan. Silly boy eh! But I can afford it, so it doesn't bother me.

1) Get on the electoral roll
2) Get a mobile phone on contract
3) Don't miss any payments
4) Don't overstretch yourself with finance
