Has anyone used Ruste to convert their jeans?

https://www.rusteprotection.com/ video at bottom of the page.

Seems they'll take a pair of your standard jeans* and kevlar line them and add pockets for knee/hip armour too if required. Not cheap considering you're buying the jeans and sending them on, but I guess you'd be sure that they fit and happy with the styling.

All their testimonials seem to be from Finland for some reason.

*not just denim "As long as they have a waistband and seams running up the legs, we can tailor them."

Given where they are bases is there are any wonder Laughing

One thing to remember is that Kevlar will make your std trousers a lot warmer & heavier to wear.

Yeah, they mention something about that, there's some 'special' layer that's supposed to keep you cooler - obviously it's going to depend on how tight the jeans are too ...

£105 Shocked fuck that.

Thats more expensive than most kevlar jeans to begin with, i get that people want better looking jeans but still.

I like the idea, for me it would be Wranglers or Levi's kevlayered new word , no additional badges to say they were kevlayered.

Can't see how you would hide stitching for knee armour pockets, wearing strap on knee protectors underneath would work along with hip\coccyx shorts for covert armour.

Only downside is the cost for me, if it were not for that I would be tempted.

You can buy kevlar leggings with attachable armour to wear under whatever pair of jeans you fancy:

https://www.webbikeworld.com/r3/draggin-jeans/draggin-liners/

£160 though.

Interesting option, unfortunately killer cost puts it out of the equation for me......market not big enough to bring prices significantly lower i suspect.
