Good afternoon everyone, a friend of mine has an XR125, have been trying to get it together for MOT however the speedo gear drive has sheared Sad i cut it in half, turned it around and glued it and it worked for a little while but has sheared again. Does anybody know who sells just the nylon gear? or even better are the gears from any other bikes compatible, the CBF125 gear looks similar, as does the VTR250.

A replacement unit from honda is over £100!!!

Regards, Matt.

Try David Silver spares if you haven't already.

If you cant find it on there they have an email address on the site and are very good at replying to emails and offering advice where they can.

Also - usually reasonably priced.
