Since it looks like I'll be sticking about for a bit (I'm one of the barbarian horde who invaded from Bikersweb), now and then, I might as well say Hi.

30 year old Scotsman (tall, dark and handsome), living in Berkshire.

Been round bikes and bikers all my life, but life got in the way of me actually riding for a long time. Passed my Direct Access first time last month, and now wobble around on an 03 Kawasaki ER-5(She's purple, and I love her).

Most likely to be seen at rallies and parties, swigging on a pint of Guinness, or boogying on down with the girlies.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Your virtual money is safe here Shade, no need to dig deep and buy a round...I tried that when I first encountered this site and got no takers!

Shade. Dear.

I, too, used to say "Ooooo, I'd never try to do stunts like that ... oooooh, I have no interest in doing a ton ... why would I want to do that? Stunts, me? Nooooooo?"

But now I'm sorry to have to admit that whilst I arent really interested in doing wheelies, I have cleared a ton x number of times now and I am still trying to pluck up the courage to follow in Cool Minxy's Cool exceptionally talented burnout footsteps.

And I'm down Chelsea Bridge on a reasonably regular basis, hooting and yaying at the stuntsters, encouraging them to entertain me, cos I havent got the nads to do it myself yet, heh.

BTW, peeps, he really is tall, dark and handsome (with lovely hair, but it does look nice to run ones hand thru, LOL) and ..... is entirely a TART Shocked

Cool Cool

Well, erm, *cough*, no, course I haven't done a ton yet, not me officer, it's only been six weeks, I never go above 50 yet until I get my bike legs. I'm far too wobbly for that sort of thing, besides, it would be dangerous and illegal and everything.

But I really am not interested in drag, wheelies, stoppies, or getting my knee down, and I am not fond of lots of plastic (or lots of chrome for that matter).

Oh, and you know you can run your fingers through my hair any time sweetie Wink

I have a bit of a passion for trail bikes, so I currently have a Super Tenere which is a wee bit tall for me, being such an old tubby shortlegged type bird. But its extremely sexy (and useless for learning to do burnouts on, obviously).

I also have an XJ900 which originally I bought for my current bloke to courier around London on. As he only recently reacquired his licence after a ban, I've had to "give it back". He's been trying to show me lately how EASY burnouts are on it, but I still havent plucked up the courage.

Also, somewhere in the depths of Middlesex I have a CB900 ratbike awaiting delivery or collection arrangements. I'm planning to use that as my "tinkering" bike, so I can learn more mechanical things. But its been there over a year, although I'm sure the young man in whose care it has been left will eventually bring it over so I can learn to tinker more.

Shade - I too dont care for wheelies, but I cant stop the damn front wheel popping up at the lights from time to time when I dump the clutch!!

I have managed to get my knee & toe down but only as pillion on Bob the Busa!

I am, however like Hellcat completely in awe of those that can & do, I am the first to admit cheering on the nutters down the Lord Derby and the likes

The hair. The hair. I have permission to run my fingers thru the hair, hoorah!

I might have to check out the tackle while I'm there with comments like that, though. Its a female prerogative to change one's mind in a whimsical manner, you know.
