Hi guys news to the forum,

I just picked up a 110cc electric start pit bike , the wiring was a mess so I ripped the old loom out and replaced it but the bike is still not starting the coil is a 1 wire and it's grounded to the frame, I have two connectors left over one is for the rectifier which was not on the bike before and I don't think I need? As haven't got lights or a alternator am I correct also there is another connect with 4 wires a red, black, green and a black and white what is this for as I can't see what it would be for?

With my standard pit bike with kick start only, this is the wiring I had.

Blue and red are from stator.
Yellow goes to the coil.
White or white with black stripe is killswitch, ground it to kill the engine.
Green is earth.

Round thing is the engine, plug looking thing is what comes from/goes to the CDI.

Never had to deal with an electric start one, probably similar to the quad in the shed, so the + button connects to the starter solenoid which is connected to battery+ and then the starter itself.

I believe you ought to have a magneto, and without it you wont get any sparks; as that's what makes them, separate of the battery.
If you have a battery and hope to run the sparks 'total-loss' without the generator plugged in, this could be the problem.

These bikes or at least most kick start chinky pits should run with no battery, they do have a self exciting ignition system which should be 2 wires from the stator, mine were red and blue on the 4 engines I've had.

You need the fundamental parts for it to work.

Green wires are Earth connections
Red / black is ac ignition power connect the ones from the engine to the cdi
Blue white is the pulse coil connect the ones from the engine to the cdi

Black ? Yellow from CDI goes to the coil
Black ? white from the CDi is ignition switch / kill switch earth out to stop engine

Same as c90 etc
