I am just about to set off for the Dragonslayers Rally in Co. Durham. I will be sharing a field with 2000 boozed up snorey bikers. Hope the weather holds up. Whatever you are doing this weekend, have fun and keep the rubber side down. Cheers and see you all on Sunday. Cool

We had a cracking weekend. Friday was dry and mainly sunny. Saturday started wet - very wet, but cleared up by mid afternoon. I have included a few photos I took:

Cheers Goose. I've had three different 955i Triumphs now: Sprint ST; Speed Triple; Tiger. All extremely enjoyable and all totally different to ride. Here's the Speedtrip:

Glad you had a good one, good to bump into you, if only briefly, on Friday night. You might have guessed that I was on a mission to get seriously relaxed Very Happy

It worked and after a bit of herbal Wink I spent a good part of the night on the campsite talking shoite. I did wander back up to the marquee to watch Gangsters of Ska and when their set ended (did it get cut short, I can't remember). After that I was feeling a bit Tired & Emotional, and had to go for a lie down.

Saturday I had to be home Crying or Very sad as I had things to do, and if I had stayed I would never have made it down to Ridewell to man the MAG stand today.

See you at Stormin' the Castle if not before.

I'm not a great fan of the Gangsters of Ska but they did get the atmosphere going and then it went silent and dark after about 4 songs, due to a terminal genny problem. At least it was fairly quiet when I went to bed. I zonked fairly quickly and didn't even hear any shouted claims to be Sparticus. Smile

On Britain's roads I find the Tiger more confidence inspiring to corner quickly than the Speedtrip. On bumpy roads the Speedtrip felt a bit like a road drill. The Tiger is quick enough up to about 120 (on private roads of course) and with the "not for road use" can sounds gorgeous - a bit like a Spitfire in a WWII film. Did I mention it was comfy over long distances?

Glad you had a good'un Skida! Sorry we didn't make it up there, due to inclement weather here on Friday (and me being a total wuss after getting soaked going to FYP) we decided to give it a miss & just do a few local runs as & when the sun came out.

However, during those "local" runs I managed to clock up well over 200 miles Shocked so am feeling a lot more confident on the EL now.

Still need to break its rally virgin status though, looks like the Badger bash is going to be favorite for that.....
