So, I'll be honest and admit I was riding beyond my abilities in the wet (yeah I know...)

Anyway, it's a nice fast RHC that have taken at speed several times in the dry, probably doing about 65mph when it becomes very apparent that my skinny maxxis 125 tyres are not gripping the road at all.
I start getting closer and closer to the grass verge and very dangerous looking trees, too scared to brake as I'm sure the front would have gone, just drop the gas and hold on for dear life. somehow, by the skin of my teeth manage to save myself with the handlebars trying to shake my hands off them. Exit the corner and count myself lucky but realise I cant change gear owing to the amount of vegetation clogged in around my foot rest and gear selector.

Pull up on a straight bit of road,go to disembark, put my left foot on what appeared to be a grass verge and promptly slip into a ditch - bike follows trapping my leg.

Cue plenty of concerned motorists rushing to my aid to get the bike (and me) upright again.

Bike & biker are fine just bruised ego and a very important lesson learnt.

So, anyone care to share their first crash experiences.

It had been but I tightened it up a couple of days ago, could that have been a contributing factor (aside from my lack of experience, too fast etc)

September last year, set off on my trusty, almost new (200 miles on the clock) Chinese 125 scoot. Some dozy cow exiting Tesco in her Clio locked eyes with me, revved and ploughed straight into me.

I woke up with her car wheel resting on my bollocks, short helicopter ride later and I'm in hospital.. fast forward to last month, I'm £15,000 heavier and she's enjoying a three month holiday at one of Her Majesties 5* HMP resorts! Lovely eh.

Can I inb4 poor obs? Laughing Embarassed
