Where's the best place to order tyres from and what tyres would be recommended for a ZZR 600?

sizes are apparently 120/60 x 17 and 160/60 x 17

Bike is used all year round for commuting mainly on motorway but I do enjoy a bit of twisty road every now and then taking the long way home if it's a nice day.

Main commute is 20 miles of motorway with a bit of town / industrial estate at each end.

wanting something that's reassuring in crap weather

thanks

I put Michelin Pilot Road on my ZZR400. Got em at M&P knocked down to £140 with a free oxford optimiser thingy (that I sold for £20) cheap because they are on Pilot Road 4 now. Few thousand in to them and they seem great heck of a lot better than the crappy maxxis things it had when I bought it.

Just replaced the tyres on my Thundercat, which is like a Yamaha ZZR. I bought Michelin Pilot Road 3s from mytyres.co.uk (from whom I have also previously bought car winter tyres). They were, within a few quid, as cheap as they come and delivered in 4-5 days.

So far I have done around 600 miles in dry and damp conditions... I'm liking what I feel so far.

PR2s on my ZZR seem to suit it and are lasting well, will probably get the same when these are worn out.

My advice for tyres is to phone around a few places and ask for their best price, always get good deals this way.

I've got Avon Ultra Storm II or some iteration of those words.

Dual compound and give me confidence in the wet. I've done maybe 4/5 k on them and they haven't squared and look to have plenty of mileage left!

Am I ok to mix a Pilot road 3 on the front with a Pilot road 2 on the rear or is it best not to?

Meh, road pilot 3's from tyre leader were cheaper so have been ordered.

just need to get the spare wheels powedercoated so I can fit them Smile

I have continental conti motions on the Thundercat right now. I think/feel they are okay but I've not used any other tyres so I don't really know if they are okay or awful to be honest.

Most tyres are around about 20£ within each other. I am sure I will be going through this conundrum when I have to change tyres.

Much choice, such decisions. Shocked
