Help needed with my other half's insurance.

The insurance on her YBR is up in two weeks, and she has a buyer for it. She won't be able to do her DAS for for at least four weeks. If there is a break in her policies, will she be able to carry her year's NCB from the 125 over, or does it stop if it doesn't run concurrently?

If the NCB stops, what will be the cheapest way of preserving the NCB so she can get her big bike insurance cheaply?

Her NCD will continue to be accepted by the vast majority of insurers for up to 2 years from the expiration of the last policy it was in force with.

If she sells the bike before her policy expires, do be sure that the letter telling her insurance company that she no longer owns it is posted by the most insecure postal service available.

You keep your NCB, even if you have a gap in policies. Thumbs Up

Just ask your current insurer for proof of NCB so you can send it off to the next insurer.

I'd say, be sure to get a free certificate of posting for the envelope. I'd be so focussed on that that it's possible that I'd forget to seal it, which I suppose could lead to the contents falling out in transit, and an empty envelope being delivered.
