There's a fair amount of 125 V-Twins (Hyosung GT125, Honda Varadero 125, Honda VT125 Shadow, Yamaha Virago 125 etc')

But why do a project with a 125? Why not a bigger engine? It'll be more enjoyable to ride once complete, rather than looking good and being underpowered, you could be looking good and actually get around with some grunt.

If you're doing it because you're only 17/18 then i'd cafe racer a bike I could ride when I turned 19 if I was you.

Hey Az I already have a honda cb250rs that has been turned into a cafe racer for when me when i become 19 ( good guess ) and i already have a cb125t that is a cafe racer and my everyday bike i simply love v-twin engines and love the look achieved with a v-twin cafe racer. my wanting to do the project stems from seeing a harley a few days ago that been racer'd and and all though it maybe under powered i'm not really that worried about that aspect of it i simply want a quirky little project that will look good Cheers

Ahh, fair enough and all the best with this new project. You're also gonna have to pop up some photo's of the said bikes as everyone like's a bit of photo whoring Smile.

Personally i'd got with a Hyosung GT125 Comet, an older one maybe. It's the only 125 V-twin that's not a cruiser or large/adventure styled bike.

Even though there's not any dealers here for you to get parts (i'm pretty sure there isn't anyway, or maybe there is?) from there's always eBay and your local breakers yard. They're also fairly reliable, i've never really heard of anyone slating them or reviewing them badly and they do/did make engines for Suzuzki so they can't be that bad.
You can also pick up Hyosung's for a decent price and they have a frame similar to a GS500E so it has a decent presence for a 125 which always looks better than the typical skinny 125cc with a 100 rear tyre.

No knobblies until the tyres on it wear out! I live on a farm down a muddy lane and can't wait to fit some chunkier tyres on it, mild greenlaning on something that resembles a cruiser a little bit Laughing

No more nails btw! Twisted Evil
