So what we have is the wife's Yamaha XV535 Virago. We have had this since 1998 and in that time it has done a stunning 4,000 miles. To make matters worse we have lent it to 3 people in that period (as it is a stunningly easy bike to ride for a returnee or someone whose confidence has been shot) and I have ridden it a few times (with a dark visor of course) so my wife has not exactly used it much.
This is a great shame as it deserves to be used, it's a cracking little bike. It is the later version with the larger tank, not the one that has to filled by lifting the seat.
Going through in detail it's got:
Nice metallic blue paint.
A decent ("Fabbri"?) screen that takes some of the wind pressure off and hence the weight off your spine.
Nearly new back tyre and front Avon with lots of life left.
Renntec grabrail / cissy bar.
Recent (in miles) stainless Motad exhaust.
Braided front brake hose - essential for those track days you are planning.
OE mirrors; still have some hideous little "Live to Ride" ones for anyone with no taste or self esteem!
No panels missing or damaged other than little scuffs from minor wear and one touched up scratch on the tank from a poorly place tie down..
Original tool kit and owner's handbook.
New rectifier in 2011 - really that's when it was last used.
Not currently MOT'd - no reason other than it can be embarrassing noting the mileage from one year to the next has increased by just 8, when the MOT station is 4 miles away!
The photos are the bike just as I've washed it - not polished yet. There is still some of the ACF 50 oil on it that I covered it with last year when I put it away and associated dust.
I'm just N of Coventry near M6 Jn 2 and happy to let you come and see it. £1,295 ono.
