Hi, I have an excellent clean Kawasaki er5 for sale, 55 plate, 12000 miles, brand new battery, all historic paperwork and service history.

I'm thinking to tax for 6 months and a years MOT and service to make a better sale, is this worth doing?

Webuyanybike will give £850. I paid £1500 three years ago. I would like to get as close to this as possible.

Also have mint condition textile RST slice trousers and jacket for sale, would hope for around £150, is this reasonable?

£1000 for the bike, may take a while to sell though as ER5's are typically bought cheap to use and abuse through winter.

I'd put the gear on eBay with a starting bid of £60 with no reserve for a week. I'd expect anything from £80-£90 max for your gear.

I would think slightly more than that. Do you think its even worth taxing?

Tax doesn't really affect it. It's pennies either way.

MOT though is a different kettle of fish. The favourite thing is people saying 'will sail through it's MOT'.

Well, if that's the case why don't you MOT it. You are thinking it's going to cost you best part of 75 quid with MOT and insurance/van/shop to get it there but everyone who reads your advert and sees no MOT will think it's a dog whatever so certainly worth getting that.

Or you take WBAB offer and expect them to try and knock a bit more off when they come and get it. Rolling Eyes
