The thing with speed cameras, is that they only go off when you ride through them at a speed greater than the limit.

A little known fact about speed cameras, is that you can stop them from flashing you by slowing down to the speed limit before you ride past them

Confused

No Sympathy if you get banned for five seperate speeding offences at 3 points a pop, not that I give a fuck about the speeding, but c'mon, they're bright yellow!

After 8 point's you should get a summons rather than a FPN. Typical ban for totting up 12 points is 6 months.

I may be wrong but I think you start from 0 then, but declare a totting up ban.

How long have you had the license?

What was the speed limit and how fast did they catch you doing?

its up to the magistrate when you go to court, there are criteria for hardship, not so much for you but other people, ie. loose job but have wife & kids.. but I would catch the bus to court or get a lift or taxi.

You most certainly ought to be banned.

They might even be able to make you sit a double length test if you ever do one? That's certainly what happens to people who get a totting up ban who do have a driving licence.

Don't blame the cameras every 100 yards, blame youself for poor observation, a lack of common sense and basic driving skills.

If you manage to get a totting up ban on a provisional licence by triggering speed cameras, on a 125cc bike, you do not deserve to be sharing the same roads as everyone else.

If you've got 12 points on a provisional, then I bloody hope so.

It'll save me from the chance of ever being on the same road as you and your terrible riding. Twisted Evil

thanks for the advice.

its interestring how you all judge my riding skills without seeing me doing it, going 11-16 mph too much is really bad, especially if you try to focus on the road more than on a speed camera sign

*Checks IP. Apparently unique user.* Shocked

I AM judging your riding skills. Speed cameras are easy to spot so one of the following two points is the case:

1) You saw them and deliberately went through them in excess of the speed limit. In which case you are either supremely arrogant or an idiot and deserve to be banned.

OR

2) You did not see them. In which case your observation skills are sub-standard and you should not have been doing the speed you were doing. In which case you should be banned.

I have been whinging about speed cameras recently but that's only because they make me keep having to slow down as I went through them on the M42/M25. Nearly made me late for the pub and it's trickier to see which gantries they're on when it's dark.

I assume you have a speedometer indicating the current speed the motorcycle is going,
I also assume hope you have eyes to glance at said instruments - use those to do other things as well.

if you cannot manage to multi-task that, then how do you manage to check ahead, check behind, mirror check,
change gear and generally ride at all? Surprised

Well, you WERE told the answer to this question, barely eight weeks ago, when you were asking what would happen at 6-points...
6 penalty points on CBT..
So matters little what we say... you seem to take no notice... well, of ANYTHING it would seem.

No way. He racked up 6 points, panicked, asked for help...

THEN PROCEEDED TO GET ANOTHER 6! Laughing

Do not comprehend.

As I read it, he already had 6, has been given another 6, hasn't been banned (because no actual license yet, problem?) and is asking what will happen when he inevitably racks up yet more convictions because The Man can't tell him what to do, man.

I believe the answer is "Nothing, except you'll be refused insurance or quoted so much that they might as well just refuse."

Eh, he'll probably keep riding uninsured anyway. It's only more points, right? Laughing

Or a Judge, who can hand down a ban from driving, if you continue to drive while disqualified, will ask you if you would like to share a cell with Bubba, who would like you to pick the soap up for him

Luckily for me, I can see huge big yellow cameras when they are on top of posts. Especially when there are road signs before warning me to look out for them. This, combined with being able to see numbers surrounded by a red circle, means that I have no points on my licence.

I've not yet had to create any posts which say 'Help, I've got no points on my licence, what should I spend the money on from my reduced insurance premium' Mrs NM takes care of that me by spending all the spare cash
