Don't really know much about Ariel bikes but a 1200 V4 sounds cool

"Ariel Director Simon Saunders said in the release: ‘We’re just about to launch an all new Ariel motorcycle and we want our bikes and customers to be as safe as they possibly can be as well, so this message is important to us. There’s always one certain loser in a motorcycle collision and that’s the motorcyclist.''

I'm not sure that sounds very promising.

Wotcha.

<< reads link >>

It's a Honda VFR 1200, not an Ariel.
So that will be as bland as processed cheese then.

It says its only the engine and swing-arm from a VFR 1200, it may well be that they'll racify it into something a little more animal but given the emphasis on safety in the last paragraph, probably not.

Yes, where the new road is next to the University, the Aqueduct that crosses it is named after the firm. Production stopped in 1958.

It'll be as much an Ariel as this is an AJS :-

Triumph are not made in Meriden anymore but they are Triumphs!

Actually I agree from the point of view if it has a Honda VFR engine it's pretty much just a tarted Honda.

I was about to jump in complaining that they said Ariel is a car manufacturer, but...

Quote:
Founded by Simon Saunders in 1991 as Solocrest Ltd, the name was changed in 2001 to Ariel Motors, although the name change and company have nothing to do with the former Ariel Motorcycles firm.

It is.

Owners of Ariel Atom cars are welcome to join the Ariel Owners Motorcycle Club and attend events, especially if they are giving test rides Wink
