My tinted pinlock will have to live under the seat, and I know it will get covered in crap and scratch, so I'm after ideas and/or products I can use to protect it.

Cheers,
Stu

Mine goes on the other visor, which stays in my visor holder.

I ripped mine off my visor and threw it over my shoulder within 45 minutes of its first use. It's somewhere at the side of the A1(M). Mainly on account of me not being able to see where I was going because it was steamed up. It was fitted to a genuine, brand new arai visor by an arai dealer. They promised it would not steam up. It did.

Utter fucking shite. I now wear £2.99 safety glasses in my arai and keep the visor up.

Not the experience of many who use pinlocks.

Do you have something that stops air coming up from the bottom of your helmet?

Remember even proper double glazing units steam up when you breath on them, when its cold outside...

So WTF do you think a bit of plastic will do.....

Littering the A1? Tut tut.

My clear pinlock lives on whichever visor I'm using at the time. The other visor lives in my helmet bag. Do you have a helmet bag?

I used to run 2 visors. The one not in used used to go in the visor bag and sat nicely between the screen and clocks (on a sports bike)

I only use 1 pinlock and it lives on my visor and I swear by it, means I can actually see in winter

No. I leave it constantly on the "slightly cracked open." setting.

And it's not about what I think it will do, it's about what it was sold to me as doing viz not fog up.

The misting/fogging on it caused oncoming headlights to starburst really badly.

In short. It was shit, didn't do what it claimed to do and was worse than the visor by itself. And god knows, the visor by itself leaves a lot to be desired. I fucked it off because I couldn't see with it on and I can't do 100mph on the motorway with my visor up and no eye protection in January.

And yes it was fitted correctly. I made the arai guy in the shop do it. Brand new visor, brand new pinlock and there is no way I was putting a screwdriver anywhere near £50 worth of easily scratched plastic.
