Hi there, I'm planning a trip in July after the BBQ this is the route including national BBQ. Now it will most probably be on the Gn125, unless something is sorted out before hand.
https://goo.gl/maps/PkbV0
Now so far the plan is as followed;
BBQ 18-20th,
Llandudno/orme 20-21,
Stoke for 22-23, (home for birthday)
Tutbury castle,
Vic bike pub 24-25,
Nuneaton (visiting friend) 25,
Bristol 25th.
Now I've never really been camping on a bike (although I should) so I'm after advice. Basically items to take, obviously tent. Now I can get clothes washed when I get to stoke. So only carrying one set, plus the set I wear. Anything I'm potentially missing (don't mind about pillow or food etc)
Also anyone know anywhere nice to camp around Llandudno thinking cheapish.
One last thing; any interesting places on the trip/ short detour that you would recommend ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

Can't recommend as it's been donkey's since I camped around Conwy and the sites maybe better now. Noisey and hard ground when pegging out.IIRC.
Bunch from the North Section camped at Dinas Dinlle about 30 miles from Conwy and liked it.
Always take a thermarest. ____________________ Diabolical homemade music Bandcamp and Soundcloud

| In another thread, I wrote: | For long weekends, I get by with...
Argos Pro Action Hike Lite tent
3/4 length air mat
Sleeping bag
Silk liner
British Airways finest business class blanket
Poundland's finest £1 picnic rug
Mini Trangia kit + small bottle of meths
Mini LED torch
Spare undies, socks, T-shirt
Toiletries/drugs in a ziploc
Food I procure along the way, but I need my coffee fix in the morning, and if I get hungry later I carry a few small bottles of water, some porridge, some Smash, some Noodles, some Cup-a-Soup.
It all goes in the panniers (sleeping bag, air mat and blankets in one side, tent and rest in the other) but If I feel like having more I pop a small rucksack on the pillion with a cargo net. Any more and I'd be trading comfort for minimalism, and since I'm not actually carrying the stuff on my back, it matters not that a few bottles of water are a couple of kilos extra.
If the warm weather were guaranteed, I'd lose the sleeping bag and stick with the silk liner/blanket. |

Personally, the only real difference in a longer trip is a few more clothes, maybe more meths for the Trangia. It's down to what you think is comfortable, a pillow makes all the difference to me when sleeping. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you.
