With the theft of my mate's lovely R1 from near Fenchurch st. last week, and Kris's recent post regarding the ZZR1400, i'm gettin a bit worried about my bike there.

I park it in Q Park in Chinatown - underground car park behind secure gates, locked doors etc. but its not hard to get into. Either just wait until someone's leaving, or just press the intercom and ask nicely and they'll unlock the door for you.

Just wondering if anyone knows of any bikes going missing from there? there's some very expensive machinery - not just bikes, but E Type jags, classic cars, range rovers and such in there too.

Nothing solid to lock the bikes to, I use a disc lock and thats about it, granted my bike's a bit of a P.O.S. but i'd still be gutted if it went missing.

...I hope i've not just advertised Q Park to some bike tea leaves....

Their MO seems to be van, trailers or ped-push. Either way, they'd have to get their vehicle(s) in, which I'd imagine sounds like more trouble than it's worth when they're happy just pilfering them from the street in broad daylight.
