Bike is a Hyosung gt125. Fuel leaking into oil sump. Tried to take off carb float bowls to check sticky needles but screw heads are wrecked. Could it most likely be sticky needles or what else could it be? What's the worst that can happen? Still learning so go easy on me please!!!!!

This is the set up but mine doesn't have a fuel tap. I've been told because it's vacuum set up I don't need a tap. I will post pics up as soon as I have broadband back on. Just moved and waiting for Sky to pull their finger out!

That would be... oh God, yes... part 25 "Hyosung cock ass" or part 14 "pump ass".

But the prices! Pale This right here is why I cannot recommend Hyosungs. Pump ass indeed.

Thing is, if the floats are working then it shouldn't matter that fuel is coming through the line: it should be stopped at the float valves. I'd get into the bowls first.

Have an impact but can't find the hacksaw! First thing I started on was the floats. I hope it's just a bit of crap? As for Hyosung's last time I'll even look at one. As soon as I get it sorted its gone!

I believe part 26, the Fuel Cock, is also faulty.

Wut?

You've been told the issue is with the fuel tap and that the cheap bodge way to fix it for a tenner is to fit a working inline vac tap after the failed OEM vac tap.

Your answer;

Replace the fuel pump.

Why? Confused

EDIT - Perhaps a bad description on the manufacturers part. Either way, heres the proper one for the bike https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/400168338093?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108

Right so am I replacing this part on eBay instead of No. 14 on the fiche or is it instead of having the fuel tap on there? Doesn't take much to confuse me as you can tell by now Iain!

Seriously consider seeking a professional/clued up freind.

If you can't tell the difference between components and intend on replacing them parrot fashion without understanding of what they do and why they are there then you'll end up with a large bill & a whole load of expensi ve parts you diddn't need in the first place.

Not trying to put a downer on it, not being a wang, just trying to save you a lot of aggro & expense.

I know the difference between a fuel tap (No.25) and a pump (No.14) I have a pump. I don't have a tap. What are you suggesting I replace? If your'e telling me to change the tap I can't because I don't have one to replace! I will pull tank off now and upload pics for you Iain. I appreciate your help. Just trying to learn. Thanks.

Red goes to tank with a filter on it.
Green goes to both rubber inlets and splits off to 2nd air.
Blue goes to carbs.

Purple goes to rear cylinder rubber inlet from tank.

This is the 2nd Air filter?

Green is pipe that splits off from the rubber inlets that comes from the pump in earlier pic. Hope this helps as it took me ages to do! Smile

One of the needles full of crap. Could this have been the problem. Also both jets are 82.5 but supposed to be 87.5 front and 90 rear. How would this affect running?
